Abu Dhabi’s Tourism Sector To Reach AED 62B in 2025
Abu Dhabi's tourism industry is set to contribute AED 62 billion to GDP in 2025, marking a 13% year-on-year growth. This expansion aligns with the emirate’s long-term vision of reaching AED 90 billion by 2030, supported by investments in world-class attractions and cultural experiences. The hospitality sector remains a key driver to Abu Dhabi Tourism Development, with hotel revenues forecast to grow 13%, hitting AED 8.6 billion this year, as occupancy rates remain strong at 79% across the emirate and 82% within Abu Dhabi city.
Expanding International Footprint: 25 Target Markets in 2024
Abu Dhabi has broadened its tourism strategy, increasing its focus markets from 11 in 2023 to 25 in 2024. This expansion targets key regions, including the Commonwealth of Independent States, Japan, and Eastern Europe, aiming to attract a more diverse international audience. The push for global engagement is evident in Abu Dhabi’s increasing visitor numbers, with hotel guest volume rising 4% year-on-year in Q1 2025.
