Abu Dhabi Space Tourism Targets $353M Launch Year
From desert sands to the stratosphere: EOS-X SPACE preps its lift-off from Abu Dhabi, poised to redefine tourism with flights priced at €150K–€200K.
The UAE capital is taking luxury travel to astronomical heights—literally. In the third quarter of 2025, EOS-X SPACE is set to debut its space tourism program from Abu Dhabi, alongside Seville, Spain. The ambitious European startup has poured over $230 million into research and development across both locations, betting big on the future of helium-powered, zero-emission space travel.
Capsules That Cruise 40KM Above Earth in 5-Hour Voyages
Passengers will float at the edge of space for five hours, with luxury amenities and panoramic views at 40,000 meters altitude.
Unlike the roar of rocket launches, EOS-X SPACE uses helium balloons to gently carry capsules to the stratosphere. Each flight accommodates eight thrill-seekers and one pilot, offering a five-hour journey that includes a two-hour ascent, two-hour cruise, and one-hour descent. Inside: luxury ergonomic seats, a bar, adjustable mood lighting, and floor-to-ceiling windows framing Earth’s curvature. All of it—wrapped in carbon-fiber engineering.
Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island to Host World’s Largest Space Hotel Complex
EOS-X SPACE will anchor its most expansive facility—including shuttle launchpads and immersive hotel experiences—on Yas Island.
The Abu Dhabi launch site isn’t just functional—it’s fantastical. By 2025, EOS-X SPACE aims to unveil the world’s largest space tourism complex on Yas Island. This includes operational hubs, visitor immersion zones, and a mega-hotel with futuristic wellness offerings tailored for post-flight recovery. By 2026, a third site opens in Tulum, Mexico, marking EOS-X's intercontinental expansion.
Projected $1.127B Turnover by 2029 and 220% Growth
EOS-X SPACE forecasts $353M revenue in year one, with 23.3% annual profit growth leading to a $1.127B turnover by 2029.
Big budgets meet big projections. In its inaugural year, EOS-X SPACE expects total revenue from Abu Dhabi and Spain to hit $353 million, with a healthy 19% profit margin. Over five years, projected revenue growth climbs by 220%, with a target gross profit of $324 million by 2029. The venture’s €115M Series D investment round, led by FTI Capital Advisors, is already in motion—fueling its global ambitions.
Abu Dhabi Space Tourism Joins $9B Industry Race
As the global space tourism market nears $9B, Abu Dhabi positions itself as a key launchpad for experiential, eco-friendly journeys.
What was once science fiction is now a premium booking. With space tourism projected to be a $9 billion industry, Abu Dhabi isn’t just participating—it’s helping lead the charge. EOS-X SPACE’s use of helium lift technology avoids emissions, making it one of the few truly eco-conscious contenders in the market. For the UAE, it's more than a novelty—it’s a strategic move to be on the frontier of the future.
